Sotheby’s To Auction Two UK Best Quality Rolex Submariner Replica Watches Linked To Titanic
Sotheby’s sells a lot of perfect UK Rolex replica watches, but its December 6 watch auction in New York includes a pair of Submariners with an underwater exposure record that makes them possibly the most authentic tool watches to appear at auction. One is a steel Submariner Ref. 1680 (estimate $20,000-$40,000) owned by underwater cinematographer Al Giddings during several dives to the wreck of the Titanic. The other, also owned by Giddings, is a yellow gold Ref. 1680 Rolex Submariner fake watches for men that was worn by actor Bill Paxton in the Titanic movie, which Giddings co-produced.
Fewer than 250 people in the world have descended the 12,600 feet to view the Titanic wreckage. Al Giddings has made the dive 17 times, and on a dozen of those dives, he was wearing his steel top replica Rolex Submariner Ref. 1680 watches. Giddings is best known for his work as co-producer and director of underwater photography Titanic as well as for his work on The Deep, The Abyss, and the James Bond films For Your Eyes Only and Never Say Never Again. He is a four-time Emmy Award winner.
Giddings developed his own cameras, lighting and optical systems in his pursuit of capturing images in the underwater world, and traveled the world shooting for National Geographic and the BBC.
